OpenTab is an online startup company that aims to provide its clients with the opportunity to get discounted or special treatment at a variety of nightclubs and bars. OpenTab’s headquarters will be located in Seattle, Washington. Since OpenTab’s services will be provided online, the ability to provide these services to clients in other regions is possible. OpenTab’s mission is to give everyone the opportunity to feel like a celebrity and receive special treatment during a “night out on the town.” OpenTab aims to create a positive experience for our customer that is exciting, entertaining, and safe. While OpenTab services are primarily focused around the online subscriber, our company also plans to serve the nightclubs and bars in the area that our customer’s live. Our services will allow these establishments to market and promote their business.

OpenTab will be a member-only, subscription website that allows the user to special offers at local nightclubs and bars in their area. Once a member of the OpenTab community, each customer will have the opportunity to purchase specific specials at these nightlife establishments. These specials will include discounts on drinks, VIP treatment, entrance without a cover fees, party accommodations, sponsored apparel and transportation.

In order to provide these services, OpenTab will contact nightclubs and bars in the area that our customers reside and give them the opportunity to promote their business, to these members. Once these businesses decide to market a special offer, then OpenTab will publish this offer on our website. If a member of the OpenTab service wants the offer then they purchase it through the website. Once one of these perks is purchased they are given proof of their purchase that they can present to the establishment.

Since these services require OpenTab to seek out the business establishments in the area of the customer the membership will cost a small annual or monthly fee. In addition to that fee, there will also be monetary deals made with the business establishments, in order to obtain a share of any potential business that is directed their way as a result of the website. As more members join the website, the attractiveness of our company to these business establishments, as a medium to promote and advertise, in theory will increase bring in more business.

OpenTab will expand as the business gains more members and as the need to cover more geographic areas increases. Focusing on major cities, and targeting the businesses within the cities will allow us to effectively provide these services to the most people. The private equity for OpenTab is basically an equal-share partnership between; Mason Brooks, Jordan Groat, Jordan Neuhaus, Lane Quadracci, Modesto Rabena. Private equity securities, private stock in the company, have been offered to certain venture capital firms, though the primary source of income has been from an angel investor. Further investors are needed as the company expands.
